Artist's Description

Log canoes are unique to the Eastern Shore and racing them has been going on for over 100 years. Picture taken from a 16 foot boat that dodged in and out of the log canoes at race start. Log Canoes appear to be racing uphill. Actually the horizon is level and the Miles River isn't due to wind driven swells.
